My son is still young(freshmen), but we plan to visit and attend camps of schools of intrest over the next couple of years.

Did Coastal Carolina last summer. It was great, but we did not know at the time how good the progaram is.

Any thoughts on these other scools in that area. UNC Wilmington, N.C. St. Old Dominion. Also Fla. Atlantic?

Thanks

You might want to check the "Ask about Colleges" forum. Or do a "find" on the name of the school and you'll see what has been posted about those programs in the past.

UNCW and NCState are very competitive programs - among the best in the Southeast.

i would look VERY CLOSELY at the coach's qualifications to lead a D-1 program. If a coach has never played college baseball, for example, that might not make for the best coach. DO YOUR RESEARCH. With the new transfer rules, your son may have ONE chance at playing D-1 ball. Coaches can be very smooth on recruiting trips and say all the things you want to hear. Don't believe everything you hear---do your own research.
