How does a player go about transferring from a D2 school to a D1 or another D2 after his freshman or sophomore years? Does he need a release from his old coach? What if he can't get a release? How does he indicate interest in a new school?

01--- GET THE RELEASE !!!!

02--- Most schools will give you the release with no hassle--it has to come from the AD with the coaches ok involved.

03-- Until such time as you have the release in hand the NCAA rukes state you may not talk with another school---you take it from there

One other thing and this is important-- make sure you really want to transfer-- the grass make look greener on the othere side of the fence but you still have to mow it !!!!!
