Some college coaches are coming to watch son play Monday at first scrimmage of the year. My question is should we notify our HS coach of this? just wondering...since this is a scrimmage, our coach has already told kids there will be lots of moving around during game...we are afraid that coaches coming to see son won't get a good look see...
Please advise!

Definitely tell the coach! I'm sure the coach will want to do everything possible for a good impression.

Tell the coach so he can plan accordingly.

But typically the college coaches will introduce themselves to the head coach, and will often call before coming.

Play every game as if it were your last

I thought it was a "quiet" period (for NCAA Division-1) until end of February which meant coaches could not evaluate off campus.

In any case, you DEFINITELY want your HS coach to know.

Take it easy, I am 99% sure that the coach already knows. college coaches talk to the HS coaches when they are looking a kid. And I don't believe the HS coach is going to change nothing because somebody is looking at your son. This is the first of many visits, now he is looking his skills (easier to see at practice), and later he will see how he use it at games.
