If my son initiates contact with a school prior to July 1 of his junior year,(he is a 2009) can the school respond back? He has sent several emails with no response and we were just wondering.

Yes, he could have responded back though email.

However, college coaches are busy in season, and immediatedly following. It may well be he never even got the email. Or come July 1 or after your son will get a call.

What did your emails include? Should have been an introduction, bio and his summer schedule.

Not too good to put all of your eggs in one basket. Move forward for the summer recruiting period, go out and be seen and concentrate on those who are interested.

One thing that we learned is that coaches will move forward on their schedule not yours. Don't be surprised when you don't hear a thing for months then all of a sudden, contact!

Each school is different in how they handle inquiries, what I do know is that you can not change how a coach operates, be patient and be persistent.
