Sometimes a good Of'er can live with a tail in his throws. We used to work alot on throws and the outfielder needs to know his own throws. If his throws tail often to the right, he can adjust by throwing the ball to the left of the fielder and the ball will tail in to the glove. One fix we used was to have the players crow hop and use the towel drill. This assured them that they were pulling down on the ball. Grip will also dictate the tail and its very hard to get the proper grip during a game.
