Ok I'm a LF in Lebanon,VA and play for 8th grade team here. I have 2 things I need to ask. Today in practice our coach hit us rubber balls because of the wet field and didnt want to get his baseballs dirty or waterlogged. These balls seemed very hard to catch for some reason. I was wondering if anyone else had ever thought this and if so, if they know the reason why this is. Next I have a bad habit of back-peddling instead of turning around and running to cover more ground. Is there any teaching or drills I can do to disappear this habit? thanks,Sawyer
