1. Where does the third baseman set up in relation to the bag when he is waiting for a throw from catcher or pick off from pitcher?

Getting many opinions on his All-Star team lately. I value the input here.

Thanks,

Tim

First off, the 3b is moving to the bag and then his goal or optimum position is to straddle the bag with his body facing towards the mound or between the mound and the plate. This will allow the runner clear access to the bag but give the 3b a tag right down in front of the runner. If he's positioned properly he can still move and can get to an errant throw.
