Appears we have a new section. To get things started, it would be greatly appreciated and helpfull if anyone would post clips of high level players working in the field. My sons learn more from emulation than from cues.

Good idea. In fact I've been taking the camcorder to some college games with the intention of getting a collection of clips together to post on my youth team's website next year. Things like proper hand position while fielding grounders, taking a primary and secondary lead, down-and-ready footwork, throwing mechanics, etc. etc. I'll see if I can get them down to a reasonable size and share a few.

I have always found the MLB prospect videos interesting. They are long enough and shot from different angles so you can get a good look at the mechanics.

BobbleheadDoll, where do you find MLB Prospect videos?

Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True.
And the Grand Canyon is just a hole in Arizona.

Here are some of the top high school infielders in the country.
PG National Video INF
The video is on www.baseballwebtv.com along with video of the 60, outfielders, catchers, pitchers, hitters, games, etc. This video was shot at the PG National last June held at Turner Field in Atlanta.

This might not be what people are looking for, but there are a few projected 1st rounders in this video. Under the picture you will see the list of players, you can click on the number to the right of each player’s name to go directly to that player. The basic player info is to the left of the screen, it will change automatically with each player. It includes the players 60 yard time and velocity across the infield.

If people like this kind of stuff, maybe we could add hitting, and pitching on this site. Baseballwebtv is a subscriber based service, but we can provide stuff here from time to time free of charge.

I am glad we have a fielding board.
PG, some good looking fielders, though I am not surprised.
I'd like to talk more about pre-pitch footwork, staying centered and playing this game low to the ground.
Let's keep it up.

Sometimes I sits and I thinks, sometimes I just sits.

I didn't notice anywhere in the video feed what year these fielders are in the PG link. Are they mainly Jr's and Sr's?

floridafan,

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier. Just about everyone at the event was a 2006 grad.

I, for one, would love to see you post some excerpts of the BaseballWebTV videos in the pitching and hitting forums!

Julie,

Next week BWTV will be upgraded tremendously. I think it's scheduled for Wednesday. The subscription price will increase as well. It seems that scouts and college coaches make up most all of the subscribers. So due to the obvious limited viewership, the price needs to increas. The best thing is it will be all access and not have an individual charge for different videos.

Anyway, I love your idea of placing video from Baseballwbtv on here. I'll talk to Rick about it Monday. Please tell me what you think after the revamped site goes up. I think people are going to be very surprised. Thanks for everything you do.

PG - Maybe it's my connection but when I was watching the videos to see where the players were fielding the ball (regarding our other discussion) it kept pausing and then resuming. Is it just me?

And I think everybody will really appreciate you adding the pitching and hitting clips too. Of course you know how the hitting gurus will react!!! boxing cutelaugh
