Man on second. Base hit to the outfield, runner rounds 3rd. Where does catcher call for the ball?

0, 1 and 2 outs?

Heres the thing. I thought the catcher calls 4, and if not play, the ball is cutoff by the pitchers mound by 1st baseman so to not let the batter reach 2nd, but my coach jokes that I'm always yelling 4. Is that wrong?

Thanks for your help...

Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True.

Depends.

Is there any hope at all of getting R2 at the plate? If so, call home. If not, call two.
