Trying to locate a catching coach for my 16 yr old in our area or within a reasonable distance. There are so many things that they are not taught in LL and High School due to time constraints and lack of knowledge by well meaning but amateur coaches. He wants to improve and prepare for the spring, now. Any info would be appreciated.
thanks

I am a pitching coach located in Sprinfield, MA
Although Catching is sport specific and does require the talents of a catching coach - if I can assist your son's efforts with a "Total Battery" approach , e-mail at JAB71945@AOL.COM
Also, I volunteer my time, and parent(s) must attend each session.

I'm available at my facility www.dkacademy.com in Bristol just off I-84.
Its a bit further but i'd be happy to work out with him on the house the first time. I'm a former pro catcher, college coach, and current minor league manager.

Call Dave Weaver, New England Catching Camp. He is hands down the best instructor for catching. He gives the player the reasons why it is done. The drills make sense and the evaluation is done with a purpose. Take the time to check it out you and your son will be very pleased with the results.
