I was just thinking - could you guys at HSbaseballweb put another forum up that shows coaching vacancies? I know I have read several posts on here looking for coaches and I have posted a few wanting to make a change. If we had one place to look for the openings it would help out.

Also, restrict it to college, high school and traveling / advanced summer teams. No offense but I don't think we need to have postings about a babe ruth team in dallas tx.

This is the first request I remember for a new forum for Coaching Vacancies, but I have received some recent requests for new forums for:

• Teams Needing Players;
  
• Players Needing Summer/Travel/Fall Teams;
  
• Coaches/Teams Looking for Tourneys, etc.

I try to plan ahead when adding a new forum since our listing of forums is already fairly long. I would welcome any suggestions from members on how many forums to add or how to combine some of the requests above. For example, do others think that Coaching Vacancies would be a useful new forum? And any thoughts about combining the other three I listed?

I think the teams needing players and vice versa is great. It may need to be age oriented though or at least encourage everyone to put the age in the header so that you don't have to look through every message. I know we are looking for fall players and I know there are players looking for teams that just don't know where to go.

MN Mom- I think youcould include all of the above and Coaching Vacancies. Make it something like "Team needs" or something broad, so that people can post things whether or not they have a team, need a team or need people to run a team. There's too many teams out there that need players and too many players that need teams (or at least in my area that's true). And coaching vacancies are becoming more and more popular to post on the site. Just a thought though

I think combining all of those would be fine. It would help people find exactly what they were looking for.

You are right that there are alot of forums on here already but I think all of them are very appropriate. I guess you need to make sure you don't get too big you can't monitor them. But to be honest I have yet to run across a post that is offensive or rude. I guess that means you do a great job or monitoring all of them or it's a compliment to everyone on here because we act mature and are just good people. I would say a little of both.

Your suggestion about teams needing players and players looking for summer teams would compliment each other. My exp. has been as my son gets older the ability to find a quality ball club for the summer diminishes. The added forum of teams needing coaches would only enhance this new projected forum.

You could call the forum "Classifieds" or "Help wanted" ... and include all of the items mentioned, requesting that age level is included in title, and perhaps state/location (e.g., 16U So Cal players needed)

FutureBack.Mom, your idea is great. I'm thinking "HELP WANTED: Players, Teams, Coaches, Tourneys". (I know Tourneys isn't exactly Help Wanted, but it's related so I think I'll put it there anyway.) And we can definitely use a sticky at the top of the forum explaining the brief details that must be included in the title of a new thread (e.g., 16U So Cal Players Needed).
