Sorry I can't post the comic strip itself, but here's what it said:

Comic Square 1 (Dad and teenage son are shoveling snow together) - Teen: "Dad, I've been thinking that sending me to a private college may be difficult for you."

Comic Square 2 (Dad's eyes are big and he looks surprised as he continues to listen) - Teen: "Four years plus grad school could possibly be a financial strain that could delay your retirement or even alter your lifestyle."

Comic Square 3 - Dad: "Are you saying that you're worried about me going broke?"
Teen: "I'm saying it's a risk I'm willing to take."

You could insert "car" for "private university" and run that strip again with the same truthful zing! to it.

I love that strip. You can tell the author has raised a teenage boy. In fact, isn't it Steven Kelly, native Richmonder?
