I think the crisis has been resolved, as explained by a "linguist" on tv this morning

ho = slang, could be offensive to some

ho-ho = creme filled chocolate treat, 150 calories

ho-ho-ho = classic Santa expression that lights up the eyes of children everywhere Smile
