On a related note, Lester William Polsfuss, better known as Les Paul, aka the Wizard of Waukesha, passed away yesterday. Les invented the solid body electric guitar, along with multi-track recording. The man was absolutely a genius. Les Paul

I once had dinner with Les, in Manhattan, when he was in his early 80s, and I was in my late 40s.

The other two people in our party had some long standing business relationships with Les (and took me along), so I didn't get much 1-on-1 face time.

But while "legend" is too-freely tossed about these days, I'm confident I logged a couple of hours with a real one.
