Clearly the ONLY method that merits discussion is the rotational method... and be careful when buying bulbs from on-line sources as many vendors don't have the slightest idea what they're selling, especially this guy!

Your theory is clearly flawed, and I want to know what your background is? What gives you the right to post advice about light bulbs? Or rather, to post about posting about light bulbs? Wait, I just re-read it...to post about posting about posting about light bulbs?
Anyway, it clearly takes only 2 HSBBWebsters to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs", not 13. So my theory on Posting About Posting About Posting About Light Bulbs is much better than yours. I think I have just become a PAPAPALB guru.

I think if you screw the bulb in clockwise, using the left hand, you are going to be less prone to long term injuries than if you screw it in using the right hand, since the left hand can accomplish this with pronated movement.
I would also point out that while a rotational approach is definitely called for at the finish, initially one must take a linear approach (towards the socket).
Later, "Frank Martin" will post a link to an article on the new energy saving bulbs.

You put yourself at great risk for humorous epicontritus with the left handed pronation, and the judges could go further by deducting style points if you reverted to an inverted "X" position. I would point out that Greg Maddux never used his left hand to screw in a light bulb, and look how many lights remain on in his house.

The picture illustrates why you must avoid taking a linear approach to a luminous object.

Me, I don't change light bulbs anymore because all the good light bulb changers are coming in from Latin America; or soon it will be Asia so I'm just going to simulate changing light bulbs on this here computer.

Spizzle, Don't forget the two grainy clips of Maddux screwing in a light bulb at the age of 13. That has to be in every post.
Also, 3 posts with links to the posters' personal light bulb sites.
