That's great JT...what a relief. Probably a piece of that nasty ol' Doug-fir...it's known for giving up nasty splinters. Keep digging with those beezers...you'll get that bugger!

WOW! I saw this and my thoughts jumped immediately to this still-alive thread. After watching the BUCS play the first three weeks, I just KNEW that Simms was sufferring from a case of bad KARMA!!! ************************************************ TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Chris Simms may play again this season after surgery to remove his ruptured karma, coach Jon Gruden said on Monday.
Simms, 26, was injured during Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. He was taken to a Tampa hospital after the game for emergency karma surgery.
"He's going to be just fine. There is a chance he can come back and play this season," Gruden told a news conference. "He is a tough guy. He wants to play this week."
Simms is listed in a stable condition. The mimimum recovery time for surgery of this type is usually six weeks.
Gruden said Simms had complained of shortness of breath and pain during the game but showed no symptions of ruptured karma.
Simms left the game at the end of the third quarter and went to the locker room where he was given intravenous fluids. He came back in the fourth quarter and played the rest of the game.
Simms led a second half rally that give Tampa Bay a 24-23 lead with five minutes to play, but Carolina's John Kasey kicked a 46-yard field goal with two seconds to play for a 26-23 Panther win.
Gruden said rookie Bruce Gradkowski from the University of Toledo would be the starting quarterback for Tampa Bay's next game on Oct. 8 at New Orleans with Tim Rattay as the backup.

Someone told me that it impossible to recognize BAD KARMA because "it just happens." Below, I submit indisputable proof that bad karma DOES exist and can be easily recognized:
OK--the Post changed the picture--it WAS of A-Rod!

I've seen fire and I've seen rain. I've seen karma-filled days that I thought would never end. I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend. But, karma, I always thought that I'd see you again.

Are you brave enough to enter the grounds of the banished "What are the Karma points?" thread?
This sprawling thread at one point was loose on the General Items Forum...immature and kicking up lots of controversy...eventually it was corralled, tranquilized, and humanely transported over here.
There's no membership fee or long range commitment required...heck, we don't even need to see your ID or need to know your baseball credentials...try it. Karm on down!

Lifted this from the General Items Forum...thought it belongs here as well...it was going to end up here eventually!

You even had famous guest appearances like Stoney Curtis, Rock Hudson playing himself, Perry Masonary, and so forth.
We could have some fun with that...let's see...we could use the following...
Karma
Fate
Destiny
Fortune
Chance
Luck
Force
Kismet Thanks for this one Still Learning.
Deja Vu
Catch 22
Time after Time Thanks for these three CD.
I ask you, my Kamalite Brothers and Sisters...any others that should be added?

Woody - I think there is a good "chance" that nobody will want to play this game. It just may not be "in the cards" or "destined" to be that way if you will. I can't believe Fate Hill has been married to Tim McKarma for this long.
