Does anyone know Fred Mongie here in Florida? I've been told he's very powerful in the baseball community in Florida. Two local Georgia players have been invited to a tryout for Mongie's u16 Florida Hawks team. I've heard his Hawks team is currently kind of weak, but he's really connected in Florida. Any info would be appreciated.

My son has played for the Hawk's for the past year. His 16U teams usually fair very well at the JR Olympics in Jupiter because he is able to pull from a larger pool of talent. The 18U team that my son has been playing for all depends on who is available to play. We are always competitve, maybe not to the Juice or Scorpions standards, but are able to play with all the rest. Freddy does know everyone in the Florida baseball scene and then some, and will promote your player to college's as he is doing for us.

Ace and Snake, thanks for the information. One of my friends in Georgia said Mongie was also affiliated with the Braves organization. He said that would explain all the gold Mongie wears on his body. Although, somebody mentioned to him that his gold chain around his neck was fake.

I don't know him personally but one of the kids I train will be with him in jupiter. His family has told me a lot of good things about Fred.
