The premier Florida scout team, the Orlando Scorpions, is expanding to include a 14 and under Orlando Scorpions baseball team.
There will be an open tryout on Sunday, January 8, 2006, at 1:00 PM at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, for 14 and under baseball players.
Currently, the Orlando Scorpions have an 18U Showcase team, and a 16U team. The Orlando Scorpions have won many national championships, and many players have earned individual recognitions. There are many former Orlando Scorpions currently playing at the next level of baseball in Division I, II, NAIA, and JUCO baseball, as well as professional baseball.
It is the goal of the coaching staff of the Orlando Scorpions to take each player to the next level in baseball. For the past several years, every 18U Scorpion player has either gone to college on a baseball scholarship, or gone pro.
