Des passed away today after throwing batting practice at FCCJ. Des was a great baseball coach, father, and ambassador for the game of baseball.
Let us all pray for the Hamilton family and thank them for sharing Des with the baseball community.

Des Hamilton was a great man whose unselfish goal was to help teenagers not only excel in baseball, but in life.

I can say I have learned so much from Des about how to run a program - especially a fall program. Des had scout ball down pat. If you followed Des' example you ran an outstanding scout team. I'll miss Des as a coach and as a friend. The baseball world has lost a class act today.

God bless his wife and family, as they were willing to share Des with the baseball community. Now they get to share him with Jesus.

I hope we can use the memory of someone as great as Des to better the scout team baseball in Florida. We need to come together as a community to honor him.
