Alright...the season is just around the corner. Lets all be experts here and predict how the SEC will finish. First predict your 8 SEC Tournament Teams and regular season champion (#1 seed), then predict the SEC Tournament Champion.

It is going to be interesting to see how everyone see's this prior to the season.

Here are my picks for the SEC Tourney and my prediction for seeding:

1. Auburn
2. LSU
3. Miss State
4. South Carolina (Tournament Champions)
5. Alabama
6. Florida
7. Mississippi
8. Georgia

Hard to tell. Duke with a 162 RPI last year and the Rebs at 38.

Hmmmm...Let me see...According to all the Dawgs' fans in Starkville, 162 is more than 38, so I guess the answer is yes.

I just feel bad since Ron missed out on the bigger, stronger faster version of Paul!

Regardless of the regular season final standing, or the seeding for the tournament ..... The SEC tournament winner will be Alabama.

It's not called the Crimson Tide invitational at the Hoover Met for just any old reason. Razz

Hard pill to swallow, but here are my picks:

Tournament Champion: Auburn (too many quality arms for the rest to overcome. Write these names down: Steven Register, Chris Dennis, Colby Paxton. Big year for these three pitchers.)

1. LSU
2. Auburn
3. Mississippi State
4. Georgia
5. Ole Miss
6. Florida
7. South Carolina
8. Vanderbilt
9. Alabama
10. Tennessee
11. Arkansas
12. Kentucky

LSU and Auburn both have a lot of top returning players with strong pitching staffs and strong hitting teams. Mississippi State is very talented, but young. Ron Polk is good enough for the rest. Ole Miss has a talented team and could do much better. Georgia's young team starts coming of age this year. Vandy and Alabama has strong pitching staffs, but are lacking in bats to endure the rugged schedule. Both will loose a lot of close ball games. South Carolina and Florida could be spoilers this year. They have talent if they can fill some gaps in their lineups. Tennessee, well, nuff said. Arkansas and Kentucky are rebuilding.
