Hey right after that, Spring Training time in Bradenton ! I'm ready for baseball season, and to see my buccos make some major improvemants this year. These young kids are going to make a difference. 1)-Duke 2)-Doumit 3)-Casey 4)-Castillo (I'd like to see him there) 5)-Sanchez 6)-Wilson 7)-Bay 8)-Duffy 9)-McLouth (I'd like to see him there too)

I won't be making the carvan but I share your enthusiasm for the Pirates. Along with one of the game's brightest young stars, they have some other up and coming talent as well. You are going to like Sean Casey who they acquired this off season.
When I was a boy, I loved the Pirates and they had some of the all time greats such as Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell. They had loads of talent though like Manny Sanguillen, Dave Cash, Al Oliver, and later Dave Parker, Bobby Bonilla, and Barry Bonds. They just maybe, maybe are finally on their way back up
Catcher, I've never really followed the Pirates but of course now, I do follow and cheer for Zach. I like that excitement though you have for your team! Loyal fans can sometimes be hard to come by!!!!! Good luck to those guys - maybe you can share here about your thoughts while following the Pirates and educate many of us.

For those that are unaware, Kent Tekulve and Terry Mulholland for that matter were both products of a D3 powerhouse here in Ohio - Marietta. In the current college pre-season polls, Marietta is ranked 8th in the nation.

Yeah, I've been a Pirate fan ever since I was like 7 years old. It has been fun watching kids like Doumit, Duke, McLouth and Duffy almost mature through baseball. I saw these kids first play for Lynchburg, I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach and The Pelicans were playing the Hillcats. And about Zach Duke, you guys have no Idea how huge he is where I come from. You see what winning does to the people around here?(including myself). I can't wait for Spring Training, I have got to get his autograph . I'm just hoping to see if there are many more Pirate fans here. My friends all think I nuts for liking them but I say give them 2 years and we WILL be playoff contention.
