I am a new head varsity baseball coach in central Ohio and I'm looking to take my team somewhere between April 5-7, 2007. We don't have a spring break to take our players to Florida, but I thought it would be nice to go somewhere within the tri-state area and maybe play a few games, stay overnight somewhere, etc. If anyone is interested or knows of someone who might be, please let me know. We are a division 3 school and are fairly competitive. I have a great group of seniors that I would like to take somewhere before they graduate. This schools baseball team has never had the opportunity to go anywhere since they only have 3 days for "Easter break", but I would like to provide them with one. If you could be of help, or know anyone who could, I would really appreciate it.

ehsbball - our HS team never used to go anywhere either. Then in son's freshman year, my husband and another players dad helped the coach arrange a trip. It would involve taking 1 - 3 days off school along with the weekend for a 5 day or so trip. One year it actually was over Easter weekend. The school allows 5 days of excused absence for 'vacation' per year as long as you fill out the form.
The trip was by bus to SC. They played several different teams and had a great time. There is actually a guy in this area that helps coaches in this area set these spring trips up. I'll try and get name and number for you to contact for info.

Hoovmom15, I would really appreciate that. I think it would be a great experience for our current team and it would give the younger players something to look forward to and work hard for when they go up through the system. Thanks again!
