To his defense....I was with IB in Cleveland over the weekend and he said he wasn't sure where he was headed basically until he got to the airport and instructed where to go (or something along those lines). I'm sure IB can elaborate but it didn't seem like they knew until the last minute. Laf - you get to watch a great kid pitch!!!

I didn't find out until after I spoke with Beez (saw him with some chic an two boys) for sure where he was going, then I thought we'd lay low for a bit to see how he did (you know, just in case) before ya'll found out where he was. But Laf caught me hiding in her back yard and outed me with that spotlight. Season starts tomorrow, (5th) and he's seen some of his friends sent packing so he understands that he's on a short leash being a 22nd rounder.(Some would say he doesn't get it) But he loves baseball and say's he'll play as long as they let him. He's got his college degree, no college debt and great medical insurance and wants to see how far he can go. I hoped he'd be good enough to play in high school so he's done way more than I ever dreamt. I think he's staying with a host family (he did that in DC 4yrs ago) so we'll see how that works out. Last year he shared an apt. with some other players but the numbers didn't work out right so him and atleast 1 other player are staying with host families. Thanks for the well wishes and hopefully he gets off to a good start.

A classic over-achiever IB! A HUGE congrats, and I look forward to following another one of OUR boys. Do you have a link to their website?

If you're coming to Lexington to watch the ball game, IB, we do have to teach you a few things: 1) They serve "Hot Browns" mostly in Louvuhl. (make sure you get the pronunciation correct) 2) Horses we like fast and young, bourbon slow and aged, and everyone in this town has an opinion on both. 3) Come to Applebee's Park on Friday night, you can get a free haircut. (not making this up, it's a promotion) 4) When you drive through town, the roads do NOT keep the same name for any length of time. When I first moved here, I decided that it was to scare away visitors. 5) If you come here the first weekend in May, be prepared to hear a lot about some little horse race they hold over on the other side of the state. Oh, and bring a nice hat. 6) Be careful staying too long...you'll fall in love with the place...I did.

Oh my word, another webster from Lexington! Forgive me for not noticing. We might sneak down a few times this year, maybe we could grab a pepsi or a coffee sometime. I like baseball and would love to come to a high school game when I'm down, would that be ok?

Out of town here folks... not in hiding from sharing IB's news! Of course, a get together is called for! I'm thinking in a few weeks here when all our boys (most of our boys) finish college seasons. IB, if you go to a Lafayette game, you'd better not go without telling me! Luvbb - Hot Brown is on me! I just took Playbaseball and son for hot browns last week! lhpx2 - You know to let me know if y'all are here before any formal get together as well! I'll feed you too!
