Bizazz - Thanks for sharing that! Not sure I agree with all the schools, including Campbellsville only being 25. They return pretty much everyone that was a major impact player. They beat Trevecca both of their games in the regional tournament at the end of the year and it's my understand Trevecca lost some significant guys. Union in KY is ranked higher too - I'm not sure I understand that except I believe they did make it out of their region if I remember correctly - so maybe they're being given some props for that?

A good friend of my son's transferred from JUCO to Trevecca, so that will be a team I'll follow more closely this year! Smile

Preseason rankings usually get heavily influenced by the previous season. Union made it all the way to the Super-Regional last year, where they lost out to Cumberland (TN). They had been ranked fairly high early in the season and suffered a slump during the middle of the conference season.

Since Spalding went DIII, Union's region is not as strong overall. Howevever, Tennessee Weslyean is in the same conference, and a few other Appalachian Athletic Conference schools field competitive teams, too.

That's kinda what I figured. Union had and has a good team. I followed a kid on that team I had met through 03Parent and son has a HS teammate that is plays for them.... if his arm gets in good shape. Union in KY is typically a top 25 team... at least since the new staff came there (not sure about before). If you've never been to their field, it's beautiful. The field is nice but it and the stands sit down in this valley... you've got beautiful mountains all around you. Beautiful setting! Smile
