I'll be getting hand surgery in the next month and a half. Towards the end of my sophomore season, I tore a ligament in my hand and knew that things were screwed up. Unfortunately, after the season when I got everything looked at, the doctors didn't know what was wrong with it. I just recently went down to Cincinnati to get it checked again, and the hand specialist that works in Timothy Kremchek's (doctor who operates on a lot of Reds pitchers and others) office discovered through tests that it was a torn muscle in the webbing area of my hand.
So, I'll be getting hand sugery in the next month and a half after seeing the hand surgeon, and I'll hopefully be ready to go for the season.
This news is actually good for me, because I've known that something was screwed up for quite a while now, because the last year and a half, I haven't been able to get my hands through the ball at all because of the pain and lack of flexibility in hy hand.
Tough situation I am sure. But glad to hear that you got the right diagnosis, and with the top-notched doctor who is doing the surgery....sounds like you will be back at 100% before you know it! Good luck, and keep us updated!

I'll be alright. I'm not going to rush anything. I only went to one showcase due to my hand and also being sick over the summer, so I've pretty well given up on playing D-1 in college for at least the first year or two.
I have a couple of other options though, and I'm just going to make sure I'm good to go by college next year especially. I should be good go go this spring anyways, but I'm not going to chance anything at any time.
