G. You should have seen the note on the door when you entered. "All Welcomed"!!!! People just seem to hang up their egos and chips when they come here. Not sure why, but it's appreciated.
Just so you know, you're welcomed in our room and we'll be expecting a "real" room when we visit California. A place I've always wanted to see, but never have. One day!!!!

Puma, Not that we have alterior motives for out of staters visiting our forum, but you've just made me think of something! I may take a month long vacation one day and visit the country - I'll sign you up for Florida housing!!! Gosh, I need to get out a map and some tacks! This could work out quite well!!!!!

Thanks so much for the kind words and for visiting here We feel like things have grown as an alternative place to discuss baseball for sure, but those other things as well like what is the effect of baseball on the rest of your family. Feelings are important to us here along with the core baseball stuff that we all enjoy. In short, I think Moms and Dads are equally comfortable posting here without fear that they may get picked apart for a position they may take or an idea they may espouse. At least that is the theory on things. luvbb posted the words to the Cheers song the other day and they seem to apply here. puma1 and jmepop are good examples from Florida who visit here often. lafmom has started some classic threads on the College baseball experiences of our sons that we all enjoy updating frequently and reading as things occur with our sons. Welcome indeed
Thank you guys...you really do have such a positive and informative forum here.....and I'm going to continue visiting...and lafmom....you have a place to visit in HB....anytime....can you surf? We've only been here a short time...but it seems to be the "in" thing....I'll try it....if you will....

lafmom-after housing 18 relatives in my 3 bedroom home, I'm up for anything, as long as you can sleep on a blow-up mattress. After Sept., when I ship my son off to Coastal, I'll have even more room and will be looking to fill my "empty nest"! But, I must warn you...the temperature is getting down to 50 degrees tonight.

You KNOW you can drop in here any time! With all the moves you've made in your lifetime...are you SURE you haven't resided SOMEWHERE in our geographical area at one point??? Actually...now that I think about it,...you DO qualify to post here because your son dates a Penn State gal!

AZRed - That is one funny visual!!! Of me that is! However, if I ever do make it there - you have a surfin' partner!!! Just tell Tom, no video or cameras allowed!!!
That would have to be a thread all of it's own! LOL

A-red-Welcome. This is a nice area to post wherever you're from. Interesting topics and even when we disagree, we seem to agree to disagree. There really isn't any of the bickering that some of the other threads get into. Interesting to follow how other divisions do things and since they're all represented here, it's a good place for info. So again, welcome aboard.
And another Coastal rep. It seems to be the HOT school of choice and I can definately see why. Who wouldn't want to go to school where it's not 30 deg. It's been rainy and windy all day here and now it's starting to snow.

Arizonared, I vote to accept the Huntington Beach area of California as a suburb of West Virginia. West Virginia also has a Huntington Beach where the Guyandotte and the Ohio rivers meet near the town of Huntington, WVA. While I have never been to the beach in Calif I’m sure there are a lot of similarities. After all....a beach is a beach....right? Fungo

Thanks. My brother lived in Westerville which was just outside Columbus. lhpx2 lives in Columbus (or near?) and I must say it is a very nice growing place. As she says, they take their football very seriously down there - maybe too seriously
Fungo - LOL!!!! I'll opt for your beach AZRed - but that's definately a surf board we could probably both handle. See about getting one of those before I visit!!!
