Folks, I had one of the best baseball experiences yesterday. I attended the game of a six year old boy..... only his second baseball game of his life.
Watching a game where kid's show every emotion and you can see the anticipation of every hit and every catch on their little faces was extraordinary!! Parents who sincerely cheer for ALL the kids regardless of team.
I know we have a few folks who are involved with young ones in our favorite sport. However, if you haven't been out in a long time and watched a bunch of young kids discovering their love for the game, you're missing out!!!
Great day at the ballpark!

I miss tee-ball. No pressure on the kids. Just play and have fun.
We have been to HS games where a tee-ball game is going on close by. And, eventually, you will see most of the HS parents watching the youngsters playing on the other field.

Tas - This was actually 'Coach's Pitch' baseball which I'd never seen before. The kid didn't want to play t-ball because he said that wasn't "real baseball"!! It was kinda neat because each kid gets six pitches and if they don't hit it, the coach goes up and soft tosses beside them to allow them to hit. Fortunately, there was a time limit!!

Well, we do have both here. I just call both tee-ball.
Mine all played "coach pitch". I've only seen a few teams actually use a tee. Only if the player wants to use it. And we don't have a time limit. They play 6 innings. Most last 2 hours at the most.
