More on May’s commitment to Coastal Carolina By Steven Matthews | Wednesday, August 12, 2009, 11:23 AM
Lakota West High senior Jacob May verbally committed to play baseball at Coastal Carolina on Sunday, Aug. 9.
His decision came down to Coastal Carolina and Virginia, with the Chanticleers offering an opportunity to win a middle infield spot right away.
May also had offers from UC, OU, Liberty, The Citadel and Florida International.
May also has been contacted by six MLB organizations: Cardinals, Rangers, A’s, Phillies, Indians and Brewers. Earlier this month, he attended the East Coast Pro Showcase, which is an event run by MLB scouts in Lakeland, Fla.
