Don't know if Daddybags still visits here, but his son and Heidelberg are headed to the NCAA regionals. They defeated Marietta for the OAC championship and are nationally ranked. Daddybag's son was named to the all-tournament team and had a homerun in the championship game. Huge congrats
Heidelberg is always tough! The Mideasst will be a pretty good tournament with HSBBW poster, Grateful's team (Adrian) in it as well. Transylvania from my hometown will be in there and I know some of the kids on that team. So, I'll follow that tourney for sure! Good luck to all - should be some good baseball!

Hi guys! Thanks. I have been away for a while. Somehow I knew CD would be keeping an eye Bags. Yeah, he has battled his way through some tough times on this team. They have four freshman starting this year, at the expense of some guys who played pretty well last year. He has a highly touted kid breathing down his neck, too, but, he has stepped it up lately. He went 2-4 today with 2rbi and 2 runs scored in the win against Tranny. Sorry Lafmom. I see Wooster lost to Adrian, too. We played Adrian late this year and pulled out 4-3 win. Things have been really crazy in my household this year, so, I haven't been able to keep up with everybody. I'll try to catch up. Thanks again for remembering, and your support.

DaddyBags - I just checked all the scores and actually have the Calvin/RH game on my screen watching it now. Congrats to Bags and team on their win - even if it was against my hometown team! I'm really excited for Adrian that they won too. This region truly has some very good teams - I'll be watching!

I have it up too. I believe we play the loser of the game on now. By the way, for those not familiar. No 24 in the clip is Bags. My wife and I were very fortunate to be there for that game.

Calvin lost to RH. So, Heidelberg will play Calvin and Adrian will play RH. Adrian lost twice to RH during the season, but beat Calvin three out of four. Their loss to Rose Hulman was only by one run. So, may be some close games tomorrow across the board. Hope y'all get to make it tomorrow too!
Thanks for sharing that clip!

I am a college baseball fan. Of course I am following the Berg and Bags! Huge win today and huge game by Bags

This is what the average fan does not understand. Each player has his job on the line every day at the next level. Competition is what makes a player. It is painful going through the process but if you want to play in college you are going to have to beat someone out - many of them and all the time.
Heidelberg won today 4-1 over Calvin. Adrian game this evening continues in a rain delay. If Adrian wins tonight, then they'll face that Old Heidelberg tomorrow who has spoiled their fun before! Transy lost today, so I think they're done. Good job Heidelberg!

Adrian defeated RH tonight and will face Heidelberg tomorrow. It was a great game tonight and I suspect this matchup will be a great one! Won't be able to listen during the day - good lucks to Bags Jr!

Very good game today - I kept sneaking on at work and looking at the live stats! Work always gets in the way of my baseball! Bags Jr will play again tonight for an opportunity to face Adrian again tomorrow.
I saw the Adrian team play two games early in the season. I've caught them early on for a few years now and really thought they had it going on this year. They have ability in pretty much every area, but have those intangibles that are so important. It's truly a team effort and those kinds of teams are so much fun to root for! Ok, now through some jinx dust over my shoulder.
Good luck to Bags Jr and all those that remain in the Mideast DIII!

Huge congrats to Heidelberg on a great season. It was a haertbreaking way to lose and to be so close to the World Series is haunting. A great year for the Berg nonetheless
OUCH! Boy, does that one hurt! We had the lead with our excellent freshman closer, who was the MVP of the OAC tournament last week, coming in and... BAM! Well I guess that's why they play the games. I drove 6 hours yesterday morning to get to the game ten minutes before game time, and it seemed like a hundred hours driving home. What a great season and 2 good games yesterday. We hit the ball very hard all day, but, they just didn't drop on, especially Bags. He hit line drives all over the field in a couple critical situations, but, they were right at somebody every time. I told him between games to just keep hitting the ball hard, and they've got to drop eventually. Boy was I wrong. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. They do have a bright future though, because they have very good freshman who now have experience to go to the final level. Good luck to everyone in they're respective tourney's.
