No one predicted it and no one expected it but Coastal Carolina will be hosting a Regional in their own stadium! It's so exciting. Will be interesting to find out tomorrow who's coing our way.

ECU and Alabama will be tough...but do not underestimate Columbia. They scrap and fight with a good approach to the game...at least in the 3 games I saw them play this year.

I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and it has turned out to be a blessing in my life. Sometimes the things you fear most are the things that end up helping you the most. I am happy for my boy and his team today. They have earned something.
I agree with JT these teams are tough. That is what you want - to play the very best teams. I am sure Columbia can figure out a way to win a game with their collective IQ's. No one will be taken lightly.
CD- How often have I been up to Conway this season? The Comfort Suites CALLED ME and wanted to know if I wanted my room for the tournament. Anyone booking there, be sure to ask for Coastal Rates. I think $89.95 is the most they will charge CCU folks, and everything is pretty expensive right now.
I know Coach won't let the boys take any team for granted BUT I'm sure there were no tears shed when the Gamecocks went elsewhere and Clemson didn't sneak into town as a low seed. No hard feelings about Ga. Tech not coming to town either!

The rooms with the single King were 89 whereas the rooms with two queens were 99. Either way a good rate for early June. No traffic to deal with

Probably true. You have to play who is on your schedule however. There are no patsies this time of year. Just look at how many first round upsets there were in the NCAA basketball tournament.
Sounds like a good bracket! 'Bama can be tough. I saw them play KY earlier in the year here in town and UK won. However, they came back and beat KY in the SEC to knock them out of the tourney. That should be a great game between them and CC. Despite being a SEC and a Bama girl, I'll be rooting for those Chants guys!
UK goes up to Michigan to play. AZ is in that bracket too. I'm not very confident that they'll get out of it, but we'll see.
I have a ton of graduation activities to do and to prepare for this weekend, but plan on trying to catch some ball here and there.

Coastal Carolina beat Columbia yesterday. Puma1's son threw a two hitter in eight innings for his 10th win! That's some good stuff!!! They play 'Bama tonight.

A HUGE congratulations to our Coastal Carolina parent's and players. They knocked off Alabama 13-10 in what had to be an emotionally exhausting game for all those parents. Some kinda game!!

I think the Gods are ok with it! 21-8 in the fourth. Could end up looking like a basketball score!
