Midland is definitely the best team in Ohio, in fact...they are ranked as the #4 summer program in the country.

The Ohio Warhawks is the only program that could compete with Midland.

Midland has had 282 players drafted from their program since 1967.

Midland is a National All-star team, only based in Ohio, and as far as competition, they are beatable, especially away from HOME....R

Beezer...they typically only play away from home in tournaments. As Oldslugger said they are not just Ohio and N. Kentucky players. Midland brings in kids from all over the country through out the summer.

A few other good programs in SW Ohio are the Kinect/Rawlings Nationals and the Patterson Park Classics out of the Dayton area. The Ohio Warhawks are also very good but have not been as strong the past few summers. Oldslugger's son also plays for the Ohio Yankees which is a very good team out of NE Ohio.

It was a failed attempt at sarcasm.

Beezer...I failed to mention that they also host several events each year! Example the AABC Regional. This gives them the home field and a straight shot to the World Series?

I have lost my touch with sarcasm? It must be those darn kidney stones I have? LOL!

I wouldn't wish those on anyone! OUCH!

One of the very few road trips they make. But I guess if you can get people to come play there, why bother traveling?

OldSlugger - Would you want BK to play for Midland? Is there any advantage? Or are any of the "top" programs essentially equal opportunities in terms of exposure?

Well my high school team played Midland 17 year olds and lost 5-2 and 3-1...they were good but not that as great as I expected. There were scouts from many different colleges there though so they do get a lot of exposure.
