The two top teams in Kentucky according to the latest coaches poll squared off tonight in Lexington, and, well, nothing was decided. Lexington Catholic (#1) was playing Dunbar (#2) at Lexington Catholic. The score was 3-1 Lexington Catholic in the bottom of the 5th when lightning was spotted. However, before the lightning delay ended, the torrential rains came, and even though Lexington Catholic's field has artificial turf, what it does NOT have are lights, and by the time the rain stopped, it was too late to play more. So...the game will be picked up where it left off on Monday at 5:30. In the interesting part of this, the two teams will play each other again the next night! Schedules sometimes work in mysterious ways
Final score after finishing on Monday, Lexington Catholic 3, Dunbar 1. Stay tuned, the sequel is on Tuesday in the early game at Lafayette, to be followed by Lafayette v. Tates Creek.
