Have fun changing the autograph with your woodcrafting set??
Ben had a great time in Joplin, and although he wasn't selected for JNT trials, he still managed to rank highly as #22/72 in batting average, tied for 1st with doubles, and 13th in hits.
But the most important win was building a relationship with BS, and I can't wait to learn more. Who knows, maybe these boys will again be teammates.
Congrats to both.

It was a tough week against some great competition. Both boys impressed many coaches and scouts. I received a call on Saturday night from a college coach who's team lost in the Super Regionals about BS. He didn't know that BS had already signed with UK. It was nice to know that people are still interested and watching?
BS was shorted a hit/double/rbi in his stats which would have put him at .333 for the week but you are right all that matters is that they held their own and made many new friends.
It would have been nice to see BK and BS get a chance at the trials but after looking at the roster for the trials they took players that both pitch and play another position. Since BK and BS are mostly one position players that might have hurt them? You never really know what the selection committee is looking for?
You are right maybe in a year or so BK and BS will team up again as Wildcats?
When BS got home he had a nice present from the UK strength and conditioning coach! A 10 week workout program! BS doesn't know what it is like to be in super condition. Boy is he going to findout! I don't think he will be bored the rest of the summer either?
Lets see. A 10 week workout versus a game today at BW college, a showcase tomorrow at WJHS for area college coaches and scouts, a few quick at bats at Jacobs Field afterwards, and a 6 hour journey to Purdue University for a tournament.
Somehow I think that 10 week workout will provide great benefits come Fall practice at UK.
Just have BS use that utility pole he traded for??

BS said that he traded bats with BK. BK's bat must be loaded? Is that what you are saying?
No wonder he hits all of those shots!
We also will be hitting the road the next few weeks. Heading to Ohio U this weekend to play in a Legion tournament. Then we will be heading up to your area to play in the Connie Mack State tournament then back to OU for the State Legion tournament.
It will be fun to see BS get in all of his daily 10 week workout schedule, play games nearly everyday plus travel!
Not only will the workouts help him come this fall I think it will help him finish this summer out stronger?
