Seems like a breath of fresh air to me. People always complain about the pampered athlete but it seems this Hall-of-Famer ain't going to put up with it anymore. He reminds me of Vince Lombardi.

Did you hear the 2 clowns on KNR-ESPN850 debating on Kellen Winslow and the Browns refusing to show this guy some love.

I thought all the love this pompous ego freak needed was $$$$$$$$$$$$$, and in this age of free agency, these idiot pro athletes need their hand holded by the organization??

I thought this was the job of agents, handlers, and the infamous "entourage" these clowns hire?

The definition of Kellen Winslow Jr. is the same one you get from Websters:

Main Entry: self·ish
Pronunciation: \ˈsel-fish\
Function: adjective
Date: 1640
1: concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one's own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others
2: arising from concern with one's own welfare or advantage in disregard of others <a selfish act>

"If it was that easy, everyone would do it. Rake the Ball

Welcome back Bee>

I have to agree with Winslow on this one and I said it before these text messages came out. The reason they withheld the nature of the injury is they were embarrassed with how many of them they have had. Almost killed LeCharles Bently. Joe Jurivicious' career is probably over. The list goes on...

By not announcing Winslow's illness, the public began to speculate e.g., STD's or other embarrassing disease. When asked yesterday, Savage said they thought Winslow would want the staff infection kept private. Seems the only ones who wanted or needed it to be kept private was the Browns Roll Eyes Very poorly handled by the team and now they have been caught red-handed.

Singletary was a very passionate player as well. I'm not surprised about his rant in SF.

I think Mike's passion is what makes him great. There has been criticism in the media suggesting what does he do for an encore. My advice to him is don't listen to the media. Be yourself and let the chips fall where they may.

Mike played the game with passion it is one of the things that made him such a great player. All he is asking is that the guys playing the game step up and play the game with pride and passion. Its about time someone got in their face and demanded that they earn their paychecks instead of just collecting them. He will not back down.
