So sad! Just texted hubby - he talks often of listening to Nuxhall call the games on radio during the Big Red Machine era.

He led an interesting life, may he rest in peace!

Listening to Joe on the radio (I moved to Ohio in 1988) helped me become a Reds fan. Though I don't root for them when they play the Cubs, I sure pull for them the rest of the time, thanks to my love for Joe Nuxhall. He is for sure "rounding third and heading for home...." RIP
