We discussed in another thread about Cohen being a possible candidate for LSU job.

Well, as everyone knows that was filled by Ala coach. What are your thoughts on Cohen going to AL. I've "heard" he's a top candidate.

He's from AL. He's a very young and very ambitious coach.

lafmom...We sure hope that Coach Cohen stays in Lexington and keeps building a top program. We spoke with him last week and he gave no indication that he was going anywhere? Although I doubt he would or could say anything at that time? It would be pretty tough for him to leave now that he has a pretty good team returning and a very good group of freshman coming in the fall?

Did Strieby sign with the Tigers? I saw that Shelby and Bertram signed.

Let's hope Mitch Barnhardt does what it takes to keep him at UK!

BC - To tell you the truth, I didn't even know yet that Bert and Shelby had signed. I've been super busy the last few days and out of touch with friends. I knew Shelby would, but I'm surprised Bert did. My son just told me though "it doesn't matter he went so late - no one works like Bert". The kid is a work horse and I know he'll give it his everything. My Michael certainly believes in him!

As far as Strieby, I feel certain he'll sign. I tell ya, the Tigers got a good group!

I don't know that Cohen would tell anyone, especially not incoming students IF he was going to consider another job. Trust me - we've been through this the summer after Michael's senior year and he lost his coach. At the same time, you never know exactly what rumors to believe and it does no good to speculate. However, here I am asking everyone to speculate! It just wouldn't surprise me one bit though if it happens.

Sorry low - of course you're right on that. I really would have bet you money at the time that Wells was going to LSU. I should have known -nothing is ever final until there's a dotted line. I just never went back and corrected it when I saw he wasn't going there.

On UK - I understand Strieby is doing very well. Bertram only went to rookie ball, but hopefully will be able to move up to single A by next summer.
