Plays in the OVC, a good, representative conference. John Jernigan is the long-time coach, hard working, dedicated. The real story of Morehead, IMO, is the park. Located on campus, it's squeezed into a rectangular plot of land. RF, RCF, CF are short that lends to skewed HR numbers. LCF, LF are deep. Some opponents will put their best, fastest outfielder, usually the CF, in LF for the series. It's not a pitcher's park unless you're a sinker baller. Big boppers can put up HUGE numbers there.

Coach John Jarnigan is one of the finest men that I know. I have know Coach J. for many years know and consider him a baseball friend. He is the the definition of class. An lack of full scholarship funding keeps Morehead in a difficult position but John makes up for it with a tireless recruiting philosphy. He believes in recruiting Kentucky kids whenever possible. The young assistants are fun to be around. Full of enthusiasm and energy. We have an interview with Coach Jarnigan here on the website. http://www.hsbaseballweb.com/interviews/interview_jarnigan.htmBob, "Doing nothing is still a course of action"
