Wonderful hsbbweb story here! They had the most wonderful ESPN feature yesterday on the young man (Bryan Fuller) who single-handedly pitched them into the world series. He knows his future is in accounting for which he recently got his degree. He also will be married in a few weeks. Just a super story about how baseball has fully enriched that young man's life. See ESPN feature by clinking on the link below: quote: The story of Campbellsville pitcher Bryan Fuller who threw 21 scoreless innings in the span of 24 hours http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4198899

IB - Your comment in interesting because Coach Sanders is very "old school". I first heard about this story on a local forum here. I really didn't believe it because while Sanders might not always play people like I would (since they're almost always nationally ranked, I guess one of us is wrong ), I'd never seen him abuse an arm. He's a very well respected coach on the local level as well as nationally by folks in the NAIA. I thought there was no way he pitched someone like that. Then after getting some info through my son and seeing Bryan's video on ESPN, I realized the situation just sort of happened. I truly believe that he had to convince Coach to let him pitch. CU is always deep in pitchers, and I doubt that many would say this is their best pitcher.... probably the best side armer though. Regardless, things obviously worked for all involved and I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, CU fell into the loser's bracket and lost yesterday by one run being eliminated. This was the first time they've been to the WS, despite great success otherwise. I'm glad they had this run!!
