from NOAA:"THIS IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A MAJOR LAKE EFFECT SNOW STORM. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS...STRANDED CARS...AND DRIFTS IN EXCESS OF 6 FEET. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR HEAVY SNOW AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ON THANKSGIVING." maybe a phone call will suffice , take care .

CD, at the Akron - Kent game we tailgated about 250 yrds from the main gate - at times we could not see the bowl or lights on the upside we had deep fried turkey, stuffing, pablano peppers, and some adult beverages - not including "ale 8" homeland security would NOT let the ridged cranberry sauce into the game - tho I suspect they really had ulterior motives in it's confiscation (my bet is they took it home) there was a great crowd, but it's doubtful that would be noticed on TV since they were mostly on the pressbox side, sheltered from the wind, as were the TV camera sets those on the visitors side had a constant 40 mph wind with snow in their faces - they were either numb or dumb, or both have a great Thanksgiving .

CD -- Though it will certainly be better than Cleveland, I'm afraid your son (and you if you so choose) will be in for some "adventursome" weather in Feb and early March. South Carolina isn't THAT far south!! I was never colder in my life (and, like you, I've been through some cold days watching high school baseball in Ohio)than a game the first week in Feb last year in St. Petersburg, FL. However, I can pretty much guarantee that you shouldn't see blizzard conditions (and, if so, they will certainly call the game )!!
