Well, it's hard to believe that another season has gone so quickly. Many of our boys have started or are close to starting playoffs. Perhaps we can share some results here!

Lincoln Trail (mine and Topdogfan's son attend) won their conference title and their sectional tournament. They'll move on to regional tournament next weekend. Good luck Statesmen!

Good luck to all of our HS seniors as this is the end to a very special time in your life and the beginning of a new journey Play hard!!!

I'll third that. Congratulations to Lincoln Trail!

Tournament starts Monday for B-Creek. We'll be playing West Carrolton who we swept on a double-header earlier in the year.

Good Luck Natedawg!

BS and the 23-1 Wayne Warriors start tournament play on Wednesday. The Warriors are the #1 seed in the Dayton Sectional and play Meadowdale. This could be an ugly game as Meadowdale has only one a couple of games this spring?

BS and I also pass on our congrats Lincoln Trail!

The Roane County Raiders [Ranked 9th in AA in last week's poll] won the Little Kanawha Conference Tournament over the weekend. In the two day tournament, the top two teams from the North Section meet the top two teams from the South and then the winners play for the Championship. RCHS played Williamstown [ranked 9th in Single A] in the first game and won 4 to 1. RCHS played Gilmer County [ranked 5th in Single A] and won 7-5. The team was very excited about this win since they had won the Championship last year for only the second time in school history. So now they are back to back conference champions. Next it is on to sectionals.

Our AA sectionials are scheduled to start Wednesday against unranked Ritchie County. The Sectionals are a best out of 3 format with the Regionals and the State Tournament games to begin the following week. These games are set up so that if you have one loss you are out.

Best of luck to everyone involved during this exciting part of the High School Baseball Season.

My best wishes as well to all the teams out there competing in the playoffs.

Seems this will always be an emotional time of the year for me as I think back on all the magical moments we experienced. Even if your team does not advance far in the playoffs, a single game can provide a lifetimes worth of memories Smile

Playoffs here don't start for another couple of weeks, we have one more full week of games (6 games) another short week and then the district tournament starts!

The Beavercreek Beavers won today. 5-4 over West Carrolton. I went 1-3 with a 3-bagger and an RBI. I was called out on strikes my last at bat--one thing I hate. I'll still argue that the pitch hooked around the plate [and it did, no doubt about it].

We'll be playing Miamisburg on Wednesday. They're currently ranked #1 in the state of Ohio.

Nate congrats on the triple today Smile Curious, I posted the AP state rankings from May 2nd and Miamisburg was #9. Is there another poll out there that you are aware of? Thanks Smile

NKU finished 1st in the GLVC regular season, #1 seed in the GLVC tournament starting Thursda. Earned #3 seed in the North Central Regional the following week and have been ranked anywhere from #16 - 30 most of the year. Going to St. Louis on Wednesday night to visit with my son, who just turned 21 today, and see some ball games. GO Norse!

Good luck to all the other players in tournaments and playoffs!

Thanks all...sorry for the disappearance but work has been VERY demanding lately.

Brian has had a decent year considering he never knew when his next at bat was going to come, he feels that he got 'himself out' more than the pitchers did....but DOESN'T ever hitter feel that way? noidea

I am looking forward to the trip for the obvious reason of spending some time with my son but also some R&R from a hectic works schedule.

Best of luck to all the players....and their parents! This year has flown by!
