Kentucky's second season starts Monday, with District play. Kentucky's baseball is organized into districts and then regions. It starts with 4 or 5 team districts playing a single elimination tournament with the top 2 teams advancing to the regional tournament. The regional tournament is made up of the 1 and 2 teams from 4 different districts and is single elimination. The 16 regional winners pair off and play a best 2 of 3 series to determine the 8 teams that will end up in Applebee's Park in Lexington for the big show!

The Generals start their playoff run against Lexington Christian Academy, the 2005 KHSAA champion, at 6:00 Monday night.

Knott County Central begins their playoff run against Jenkins on Monday at 7:00.
