3rd Annual Ed santa & Nick Venuto Great Lakes Pitching & Catching Camp

Camp Instructors

Eddie Santa is one of the most respected baseball people in the Midwest. A product of Pittsburgh, PA Eddie played for the University of Richmond. After college, Eddie played professionally with the New York Mets and eventually landed at Kent State as a Graduate Assistant to Hall of Fame coach Bob Todd in 1986. In 1988 he moved to Ohio State with Coach Todd. In 1992, Eddie became an Area Scout with the Colorado Rockies. Eddie also runs two very successful showcases in Wixom, MI and Morgantown, WV.

Nick Venuto, the pride of Massillon, Ohio, Nick played from 1986-1988 for Bob Todd at Kent State. After being drafted by, the Oakland A’s in the 8th round, Nick spent time in their minor league system as a starting pitcher. After his playing career was finished, Nick was an assistant coach at Ohio State. Currently, Venuto is a scout for the Houston Astros. and is one of the most sought after pitching instructors in Stark and Summit Counties.

Why have you been to Andover? Not too many people know where we are except for hunters and fishermen. Eddie and Nick do a great job with the camp. This is our 3rd year doing the camp and everybody that has attented has been very pleased.

Seriously, I grew up not far from there in Pa. Anyone who has been across the Pymatuning causeway has been to Andover.
