Hi Ya'll,
Just joined group and sounds like ya'll have a great group of baseball fans from what I have read. I need your help. I am interested in relocating back east and have been searching for a head coachin position. These are hard to come by and usually very political to get. If you have any information about HS Head Baseball Coaching positions please feel free to send me a message. Thanks for your help.

Coach68,
I see you are from Gilbert, as am I. Why are you looking to relocate? Tired of the 100+ degree days....ro the kids that don't seem to play fundamental baseball? Are you currently a high school coach in the area?

I am just curious, I don't have any kids playing in the high school ranks

lafmom...Thanks for your insight for Northern Kentucky...My son committed to play there...he liked the coaches very much

I have not met the coach from NKU but they have a tremendous baseball reputation from where we are from up here in NE Ohio. Good luck to your son there - a fine baseball school indeed.

Mde- I currently coach HS at Gilbert-Highland High. Asst. Varsity I also coach them in the summer to help develop the program. Last summer we finished as state-runner up in American Legion Baseball. We finished 3rd in the strong Fiesta Region in 2005 and qualified for the state tourney but lost in the 1st round. Kentucky is where I grew up-Paducah. I would like to get a little closer to home.

It wasn't a tough decision for my son. He visited 3 schools and had offers from all 3 plus 2 others just from his reputation in the chicago area. He even could have gone JUCO 1 more year and played for the #3 team in the nation. He recieved his associates degree and saw no reason to stay JUCO... and liked the idea of playing there for 3 years for NKU. Was really impressed with the coaches and LOVES the fact that they play wood bat. He is trying to hold out on hearing that "ping" again for as long as he can..lol

NKU is planning on going D1 after either next year or the following year....so he will hear and feel that "ping" again

Coach68...Highland isn't that far from where I live. One of your players from '04 Brock **** was at Phoenix College with my son. He seemed very disappointed at being red-shirted and I wonder if he'll go back there. The coaches don't really work much with the red-shirts so it is just a lost year. I can understand "going home"...my son went back to the Chicago area to play for the sumer...and LOVES being "home"...and it shows in his play. He's hitting over .400 against D1 and D2 pitching....wood bat of course...lol...good luck in your search
