Here's the scoop: We will be meeting Friday night at Bill Davis Stadium in section 103 for the 6:35 start. Luvbb and I will also be there on Sat. for the 1:35 game. General Admission tickets ($5) can be purchased either online or at the gate. It would be fun to see everyone who can make it (and we will bring pins to stick in our "CD Doll" for entertainment between innings. That's right -- how dare he travel to see his own son play when he could be spending the weekend with all of us?? ). Let us know if you plan to be there for any of the weekend!

Poor guy! I bet CD never misses another get together of our gang!!! However, Bee, I do like the Visa idea!!!! For a Visa trade off, we would make sure the pins were very dull!

What a great evening! It was a small group, but a fun group! A HUGE thanks to lhpx2 for not only suggesting the idea, but for being a wonderful host to us out of towners! We will have to do this again!

agree it was a great group, and echoing the thanks to lhpx2 for co-ordination, also to Lafmom for the kind momento(s) (hic! ), and to Luvbb for the great nite of baseball, including the post-game fireworks show - then, the post game meet the player reception at the hotel bar - she clearly has alot of influence aslo I-Bystander for his company & handling transportation issues, and kudos to Bystander's son for pitching Kent to a shutout & clinching the MAC title as well as MAC Tourny host the pregame "microbrew tailgate" broke the ice & any ire toward CD was quickly forgotten we wished CD a great nite and the CD doll was treated with respect & dignity . . except for accidentally having beer spilled on it, being stepped on, then being wrung out to dry which I'm told could theoreticly only result in cold sweats, a lot of bruises, & a twisted back - very minor symptoms, really I-B any myself arrived at the brewpub first & the only downside was the number of times we were "shot down" approaching every group of ladies entering as we were "flying blind" we also had a great visit with Mr Lphx2 & lhp#1 who shared some great baseball stories & perspectives on pro ball & life after pro ball - much thanks CD, if that back is a little tender, I'm told sleeping on a piece of plywood helps ps to Lafmom, I see the Cats Snipp had a good game last night clinching at least a share of the SEC title for Kentucky. He's a great kid & a former summer team-mate .

Well...while I-bystander was hanging out with US at Bill Davis stadium, his son was throwing one heck of a game up in Buffalo: http://www.kentstatesports.com/index.php?s=&url_channel...id=&change_well_id=2Tim....you didn't tell us your son is the spitting image of YOU! I would also like to thank lhpx2 on coordinating the evening's festivities! It was alot of fun and enjoyable to finally put some faces to the names on this sight. And, I might add, the "faces" were all very nice faces too! When we were entering the restaurant, we decided to see if Bee and IB could tell WHICH one of us was whom. Given Lafmom's THICK southern accent, and my "fairly identifiable" northeastern accent, we decided to let lhpx2 do the talking initially! But, I think lafmom cracked and just couldn't keep quiet for long enough and gave us all away!

IB - Congrats again on Chad! Both your boys are carbon copies of dad! Well, I'm off to meet 03Parent and family! Great weekend!
