Jan Weisberg left Transylvania University and is going to Birmingham-Southern, which has its own set of challenges since it has recently decided to go to D3 from D1. It's a huge loss for Transy and a big step toward rebuilding for Birmingham-Southern.

John, This is exciting news for Weisberg! I've said before, I think he's a classy guy and a wise baseball coach. I felt like he'd do big things for Transy! Loosing him was a big loss for UK, but an even bigger loss for Transy!

I know D. is talking with some other schools, but should certainly plan on a visit there! I had always hoped when Weisberg left UK, that he'd go somewhere it might be a fit for Michael. Transy is way too tough academically - think it's those biology profs!!!

Best of luck to the Weisberg family! I imagine he'll get Birmingham Southern back up and running very quickly!

On a side note though, this is what - five coaches in seven-eight years for Transy? They'll never build that program if they don't do something to maintain a coach!
