Bluegrass - I think I remember seeing that your son plays for Murray. They've brought in some good talent and I think will have a very good year ahead in '06. My son also has a former HS teammate that plays for them who is a great kid! Good luck to your son and the Racers.

lafmom,

Thanks for the kind words...your right, my son will be returning for his junior season in leftfield in '06 and is very excited about their chances for a great season...They improved from 17 wins to 28 wins this past season...

Kind of a funny thing, lafmom, is even though my son plays for Murray State, he is not technically a Racer..The baseball team is known by the original University nickname "Thoroughbreds" or "'Breds" as they are known today..Here's a link to the story......

Bluegrass - I knew that, but guess I forgot! My son's friend is an OF as well - redshirted last year. He's from Lafayette HS in Lexington. If you ever get a chance to meet his parents you should introduce yourself. His grandparents are also big baseball fans and are two of the sweetest fans you'd ever meet (don't always find those kinds in the stands!). Send me your son's name and I'll add him to my evergrowing watch list. I've got several teams in the OVC I follow - should be a good year!
