Saw this in our newspaper yesterday re: Pabbmom's son who plays at Alvernia:
Alvernia sent 27 men to the plate in a school-record 23-run inning on the way to a 35-3 rout of Hilbert, NY in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday at Fort Pierce, FL.
Steve Burdan went 6 for 6 with seven RBIs for the Crusaders.
Way to go Steve....congrats mom!

Hey Thanks! We just got home earlier tonight and while I try to catch up on laundry, thought I'd peruse the site. Caught my attention with the Congrats to me. We had a very nice week, enjoying the 80 some degree weather. Hated to come back to reality and the 39 degrees here! Of course, we weren't allowed any time with the kids but the parents did get together a couple of times for dinner by the pool so it was nice to get to know some of them. You may even catch a pic of the mothers standing around the Zig's rented car on the team's website. We'll see.
Anyway, Steve did have a really good day, even had a home run yesterday. 1st of the year. Had 2 losses for the week and the 1 should've been 2 runs closer, but you know how the umps can get! Now, I have to go read the "Ups and Downs" thread, 'cause I know Steve fits into that category at times.
