Well, it's that time of the year again! Those of you with summerball playing sons (my first summer in 16 years without baseball! ) share with us your son's story as well as provide links to their teamsites if you'd like. We all like to keep up with the HSBBW kids.

Beez - If I didn't have commitments this weekend, I'd do just that! Some people have a preference for what level of baseball they enjoy - I'm kinda like that with basketball. However, when it comes to baseball.... t-ball to MLB - love it all!
Good luck to your son this weekend and make sure to include him in the summer ball reports - we want to know about all our youngin's!

Now that the high school season is over, this topic seems too good to be buried in the Oh/Ky/Pa/Wv forum. Hope that lafmom does not yell at me for moving it here
So without further adieu....
Lets hear all about about your summer baseball season!! Please provide website links and keep us regularly updated on how your player(s) or teams do this summer. This thread is for any level of baseball including youth leagues, pre-high school, high school, travel ball, select ball, collegiate summer leagues, showcase circuit, pro ball and so forth. Don't be bashful - tell us how it is going this summer!

Easier to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission - right!??!!
Don't mind at all as I follow a lot of "our" guys, including ones outside of OH/KY/PA/WV forum. Thanks!

#31, playing 2B for the 16U team. They're getting to know and trust each other, and had a great tournament in Kissimmee last week. They're getting better with each game. We're looking forward to Jupiter next week!
Well, after getting passed over in the draft this year, and after spending a couple of days looking "lost" around the house, son headed off to Traverse City Michigan yesterday morning and signed his contract today to play independent professional ball with the Traverse City BEACH BUMS in the Frontier League. Who would have thought...5 years of college, TWO degrees and he winds up being a BEACH BUM!
luvbb- Congrats on the good news regarding your son.
Great looking unis BTW!
Here's an old ditty that's fitting. Feel free to join in (Bum that means you pal).
Why don't you work like other folks do? How the hell can I work when there's baseball to do? Refrain Hallelujah, I'm a Bum, Hallelujah, Bum again, Hallelujah, get a ground out To revive us again.
Oh, why don't you save all the money you earn? If I didn't eat, I'd have money to burn. Whenever I get all the money I earn, The boss will be broke, and to work he must turn. Oh, I like my skipper, he's a good friend of mine, That's why I am starving out on the third baseline. When springtime it comes, oh, won't we have fun; We'll throw off our jobs, and go on the bum.
Hallelujah, I'm a Bum, Hallelujah, Bum again, Hallelujah, get a ground out To revive us again.

Kathy - I've already sent my congrats, but I appreciate the link. Michigan has some neat ball parks and this one looks like it belongs on that list and a beautiful area to visit. They're in Florence, KY a couple of times too!! I'm definately seeing a road trip in my future! Congrats again and thanks for the link!

I've got a friend that is a pitching coach for the Senators. I live in Northern Virginia and my son and I will be attending a few games at Waters Field over the summer. What is your son's name or jersey number?
