Ok, Kentucky Highschool Baseball Fans - Tryouts are in a week. Who do you think will start on top, end on top, etc.

I am biased, but do think those Lexington Lafayette Generals should do well. Most of the starters are back.

In Lexington, Henry Clay has a good senior class, Tates Creek is still young but talented, Lexington Christian and Lexington Catholic should field some strong teams.

Harrison County also returns most starters and should do well. I think this year they move to a different district as well.

Christian County, state champs, has their number 1 pitcher back, but not sure on their depth otherwise.

I'm sure there will be several Louisville teams on top - just not sure who.

Share your thoughts and observations.

We (Knott County Central) are hoping for a good season. I think that we will compete better within our region. We also have a tougher schedule. Which helps out at the end of the season. We will have our annual East Kentucky Wood Bat Tournament. And will play in two other tournaments during the season. But things are looking up for KCC.

I can't wait to start playing, and after seeing highlights of an MLB spring training game, it seems like it will take years for 26 days to pass. So excited!!! Big Grin

Lex, I had some friends last night that were talking about watching ESPN and it increased their anticipation of the season. I assume you play for a Lexington High School. 25 more to go!

Are any of your teams going to play any scrimmage games? Knott Central is going to play a couple the week before our first game.

Tasmit, Not us - at least not scheduled at this time. We're doing some renovations on our field and will be pushing the completion of that to be able to get some actual field practice before the first games.

Let me know if you all come up this way. Michael and would like to come and say hello and watch if we could.

Tasmit, At Franklin Co or Western Hills? Let us know along with the time - Michael has early practice next Saturday, so maybe we can make it. Have seen UK play a couple of times lately, but would love to see some HS baseball! 16 days to go clap

Our game is at 4:45 on Saturday at Franklin County. I thought that this was just a scrimmage, but it is a showcase game. There are 8 teams playing in 4 games on Saturday. We play Bullit East. The others are Nelson Co., Johnson Co. Franklin, Paris, Bryan Station, and South Floyd(I believe). There are supposed to be some college and pro scouts in attendance.

Lafmom, if you can't be there I'll let you know how we did.
