Finally...after a few long years...I get the pleasure of meeting CD this upcoming weekend as he travels to Lynchburg to watch Coastal play Liberty University. I was fortunate enough to meet TB 2 years ago, shortly after he gained a starting spot for the Chants. Here's to a safe trip and a good series for TB.

I offered to fly him into Charlotte - but he said no.
CD countered with the following:
1) A round trip flight - First Class 2) A home cooked "Italiano" meal 3) $400,000 appearance fee.
I declined the counter offer.
Flight is good $400,000 is good
But no on the meal.
We continue to negotiate.
I will keep you informed as this develops.

Maybe he has a hankering for one of your Moose recipes. CD picked a good time to go to Lynchburg...apparently 3100 people at LU's first-ever night game!

He will have to negotiate really hard if he wants me to cook up one of my moose dishes - Italiano style!

We won an 11th inning affair last night under very pleasant weather conditons. Liberty set an all time record with over 3,000 in attendance - many of whom had Beat Coastal shirts on. Jerry Falwell Jr. threw out the first pitch and he sat near us the entire evening. Good times were had by all
Joey Haug (bbregie's son) stopped by our room last night and we had a great time with him. He single- handedly won the game for Coastal on Friday night. He is a true team leader and he is very, very talented. Great kid.
Wish I was sitting there too, even tho the weather is un-comfortable. I can't stand "watching" on the computer. The audio is great BUT every sound of Liberty bat metal sounds like a home run and they don't make enough wine to combat that feeling!

It was an absolute pleasure meeting CD and talking baseball with him for 5 innings in 39 degree drizzle today. Nothing like meeting someone for the first time and feeling you've known them for years. Hopefully, I'll get to see him again at the Big South tournament in May (assuming Coastal qualifies ).
